Regular immigrants have to prove education levels and need a sponsor that can prove that they have attempted local recruitment. This is normally beneficial to the hosts. Asylum seekers normally ensure they destroy their identity documents in an attempt to make deportation more difficult or sometimes impossible. The qualifications of these people cannot be verified. At the risk of sounding heartless asylum seekers may or may not provide any benefit to the host: they may even post a risk of being terrorists, as has happened in the UK. These problems can be avoided if a proper application process is enforced before entry and residence is allowed.
