Full reason for rating. Alternative ways of delivering aid
Instead of delivering bottled water to these camps, a much cleaner way to deliver aid would be water tankers, bulk containers of food etc, so less waste is produced. The food and water can be sourced from local supplies (except in drought areas) and so reduce the food miles. But it seems no attempt is made to do this and the only conclusion must be that the aid suppliers are providing an export market to their companies that they buy the aid from.
