Wars are typically started for one af the following reasons:
1) Resources. This has been true in the Middle-East to gain access to oil reserves. The next resources that will be in high demand are rare earth minerals if fossil fuels are eliminated from the energy mix; batteries, electric cars etc.
2) Ideology. Some people believe there ideology is better than other ideologies and try to enforce their ideology through war.
Reduction in carbon emissions could trigger wars for scarce resources as (1) above.
